Since 1997 EF’s representative has been dealing with the U.N. He is in contact and talks and emails to 15 to 20 people who can get things done fast who work for seven U.N. agencies.

In the Hawaii State Legislature, in Honolulu, EFs representative has good relationships with top leaders in the State Senate and the State House of Representatives. On Maui, we have good relationships with top elected and appointed officials, the Mayor, and the Planning Director of Maui County Government and we work closely with Maui County Government where appropriate.
Experts to discuss whale research
KAANAPALI — Noted whale experts Bryant Austin, Ari Friedlaender, Greg Kaufman and Corey Ryder will speak and present videos and photos relating to the latest discoveries and developments in humankind’s quest to understand and save whales during a free event on Friday, Feb. 12.
Ryder, a producer/director/writer in film, TV and music, serves as the president of Earth Foundation.
Ryder was on the team that won the Academy Award for Best Documentary of 2009 for The Cove, which shed light on the slaughter of dolphins in Japan.
